Louisburgh Horse Show Society Chairman's Address

CHAIRMAN’S ADDRESS / Seoladh an Chathaoirligh

On behalf of all involved in organising the 21st Louisburgh Horse and Pony Show, I would like to extend a warm welcome to each and everyone of you, whether you are here as a spectator, exhibitor or trade stand holder.

I would particularly like to welcome our sponsors; without whose generous support, the show would not be possible.

The present committee are delighted with the success of our three previous revival shows, this success was due in no small way to the tireless effort, dedication and hard work of our voluntary committee and helpers.

This year with the introduction of our own jumps – designed, made and painted by our own committee members, to each and every-one of you “Thank You”. This was a great achievement and a great team effort. Thank you to everyone who individually sponsored these jumps.

Our third dog show last year was a run away success, thanks to our Judge & Stewards in this arena, well done.

I would particularly like to extend a special word of thanks to Pat Cox and his Family for again allowing us to hold our show in this spectacular setting in 2010.

Safety is our priority at all times during our show day and I would ask you all to-day to pay particular attention to our stewards who are easily identifiable in their yellow jackets and please follow their instructions at all times.

Finally let me wish you all a very safe and enjoyable day at our Show for 2010.
